Project Growth Partnership Award

We are honored that our project received the Growth Partnership Workforce Innovation Award. The project is working to provide  services and programs that will help uplift students, their families, and community members through a Community Learning and Resource Center. We thank everyone who has been or will be helping us to remove barriers and work toward ensuring all children can come to school ready to learn.  September 2018

CareSource and Ohio CDCA Select SFSF-CLC For

“Empowering Communities Grant Challenge” Award

The Strong Foundations, Successful Futures (SFSF)– Community Learning Center (CLC) Advisory Group submitted an application via Community Action to the Ohio Community Development Corp-oration Association (CDCA) and CareSource “Empowering Communities Grant Challenge.”  The grant was offered to fund innovative approaches to addressing “social determinants of health.”  We proposed the SFSF– CLC project and applied for funding of the Community Resource Coordinator for the grant period (one year) to help us really move forward in this effort.  They chose six finalists, of which we were one, and we were requested to make a presentation in Dayton.  We are proud to have been selected for funding!  We have been awarded $58,000.  The Ohio CDCA is administering the funds that have been made available through the generous support of the CareSoure Foundation.  We are extremely grateful to CareSource and Ohio CDCA.
